Sheriff Conan McClelland was the police official who was interviewed on television about methods of dealing with the newly-appeared walking dead. He described damage to the brain and fire as the best methods of destroying the animated corpses. Later, he led a posse that hunted down zombies, unintentionally shooting the last survivor of a group trapped overnight in a farmhouse, Ben, in the head.
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
