A farmer living on Petrie's Island, Morton found one his horses dead and totally devoid of its skeleton. This he quickly reported to Constable Harris, and although Harris told him not to mention the incident to anyone else, the farmer soon informed both Peter Argyle and Dr. Landers about it. Later on, Morton participated in the attack against the advancing silicates, and was killed when one dropped out of the tree he was standing under and landed on him.
