Jessie Bradshaw was the daughter of missile expert Dr. Bradshaw. She was kidnapped along with her father by Dr. Zin and brought to Zin's junk in China. Dr. Bradshaww as forced to design a missile scrambler for Zin and his foreign benefactors, cooperating only because Zin threatened Jessie's life. Jessie escaped from the junk and swam to a nearby boat which turned out to belong to Dr. Quest, and she was pulled aboard by Race Bannon, rescuing her from one of Zin's henchmen pursuing her in a speedboat. Jessie told the Quests of her father's plight and they assisted her in rescuing him, despite some friction between Jessie and Jonny Quest who viewed her as a liability due to her being a girl.
