Mrs. Barnard was a crabby next door neighbor of Erin Gilbert's when she was a child. She was not on good terms with the Gilberts, especially after the family's dog Corky killed her prized rooster Ernesto. After the elderly woman died, her ghost haunted Erin's bedroom for several years.
