• Real World: 65 million years ago. End of the Cretaceous, as a mass extinction wipes dinosaurs out.

• DC (Post-Zero Hour): 65 million years ago. The dinosaurs are wiped out by a soliton created by the merged Omega Attractor/Epoch hurtling back from modern times. The 41st-century "warsuit" of an Epoch from a point earlier in his history absorbs the energy release to evolve into a new form; Epoch strands the Justice League of America in the relative future and proceeds to attack the present day. Earth is among the planets sown with the metal; the cyberforming of the planet triggers the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, wiping out the planet's native dinosaurs.
