Zara Young
Zara Young was the British personal assistant of Jurassic World park operations manager Claire Dearing. When Claire's nephews Zach and Gray Mitchell visited the island during Christmas of 2015, she was too busy to spend time with them and assigned Zara to watch them. Proving to be somewhat ill-equipped to watch two preteen boys, Zara spent most of her time on her cell phone talking to her friend about her upcoming wedding to a man named Alec.
While the three were at the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo, Zach talked Gray into ditching their caretaker so they could go to several attractions without her supervision. Zara didn't notice they were gone until it was too late, and she couldn't find them anywhere, unaware they'd taken a Gyrosphere out into the valley. Following the escape of the Indominus Rex, Claire called Zara and told her to bring the boys back to the Innovation Center... only to be informed by a frantic and horrified Zara that she'd lost them.
While Claire was out hunting for the boys with Owen Grady, the two returned, having repaired one of the original Jurassic Park Jeeps and using it to drive back to the main area of the park. After Simon Masrani's helicopter crashed through the aviary dome, unleashing a horde of Pteranodons and Dimorphodons upon the park which attacked visitors, Zara, seeing the boys on a security camera, went to retrieve them. Zara was killed when a Pteranodon picked her up and dropped her into the tank with the Mosasaurus, which ate both her and the Pteranodon that was attacking her.
