Cougar Furlong is the father of Chance Furlong. He was an Enforcer test pilot who went missing.

- Details about Chance's father, including his name, were revealed by creators Christian and Yvon Tremblay when discussing the potential sequel to the series, SWAT Kats: Revolution. According to them, Cougar was captured and experimented on by Dr. Viper and turned into a mutated monster, but retained his sentience, escaping and living in the depths of Megakat Swamp.
