Chief Inspector Harborne

Chief Inspector Harborne was a police inspector in the town of Sutton. Following the grisly deaths of Manton Haywood and Dr. Ramsey Keen, Harborne theorized that a homicidal maniac was on the loose. Try as they might, he and his men were unable to find the killer. But after more deaths and sightings of a mysterious creature named the "Slime Beast," an increasingly worried Harborne was convinced by Gavin Royle that he was dealing with a vicious monster and called in the Army. The soldiers, commanded by an ambitious sergeant, proved unable to kill the creature, who claimed several more victims including several of the sergeant's men as well as landlord Tom Southgate. In the end, it was Gavin who slew the Slime Beast using a flamethrower. Following the ordeal, Harborne retired from police work.
