Biography
Origin
Sardath was a male inhabitant of the planet Rann that was located in the Alpha Centauri star system. (Showcase v1 #17). He is the father of Allana, father-in-law of Adam Strange and grandfather of Aleea Strange.
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
During his college years, he took part in the practice of anthropology where inhabitants of Rann embedded in other cultures to study them. Sardath came to Earth where he took on the identity of a human named Alan and stayed at college. Though meant to observe, the time clouded his objectivity and he came to be romantically involved with a human woman named Anna. Their romantic relationship led to her being pregnant with his child with the Rannian Thought Council learning of his actions. This saw them dispatch agents who forcibly returned Sardath to Rann where his brilliance meant he would rise to a governance position but he was banned from ever returning to Earth. - Sardath was created by Julius Schwartz and Murphy Anderson where he made his first appearance in Showcase v1 #17 (November, 1958).
- In Man of Two Worlds (2000) -Julius Schwartz Autobiography, it was noted that the character was modelled on Julius Schwartz.
