History
The Dominion was founded in the 1800's by an ancient geneticist known only as The Creator. It would rapidly become a powerful shadowy organization which aimed to control the distribution of worldwide technological advances, particularly in the field of genetics. Former Mutant X 1.0 member Lexa Pierce became a Dominion operative when they promised to help her locate her twin brother Leo Pierce.
Years later, Adam Kane became suspicious that corrupt members of the ruling Dominion Council were responsible for counteractng Mutant X's actions. Fearing for his life, Kane would fake his own death and then worked back channels at the Dominion to have Lexa implanted in Mutant X while attempting to monitor the inner workings of the Dominion itself.
The Dominion would later on order Lexa to bring Jesse Kilmartin to them after his genetic structure began to deteriorate. However, she would defy them by using her Dominion contact to launch a sneak attack against Dominion headquarters itself. While this occured, Adam Kane was brought before the Creator but he would detonate the Double Helix over the base thus destroying the Dominion's headquarters.
