Betsy Ames

Betsy Ames was the mother of Janet Ames and wife of Philip. Like her husband, Betsy was a medical doctor who sought to discover the secret of the healing earth of Gudjara Mountain. She was the inadvertant cause of the cave-in which killed both her and Philip.
