Biography
The Native
Within the Canadian wilderness, the Native was hunting for food in the river when she was ambushed by Sabretooth and two hunters from the Soft Vector Weapons Development program who had been sent to capture her. Though hit with tranquilizers, she managed to recover where she killed the human hunters and nearly killed Sabretooth whereupon she left the scene. (Wolverine v3 #13) From her cave, she smelt the scent of Wolverine and went out to find him where in the dark she found that he had made a camp site and was waiting for her. He attempted to show that he was not there to hurt her but she recalled memories of him being in a berserker rage causing her to lash out and leave the scene. She was later away from her cave dwelling and when she returned she found that Wolverine had discovered her home. Once again fleeing the scene, she was prepared to ambush him forcing him to fight her where in the brief battle they succumbed to their animal attraction where they embraced each other in a passionate kiss. (Wolverine v3 #14) The pair slept together and spent the night with one another where the Native woke in the morning to touch Wolverine's cheek. This woke him up where he attempted to warn her that she was being tracked and determined that he was being used to find the Native. However, she did not seem to understand Wolverine with her then hit with a sniper rifle shot to the cervical vertebra from Sabretooth that paralysed both her as well as Logan. Despite the shot, she managed to recover and when Creed was nearby she along with Logan managed to seriously injure him whereupon her along with Wolverine fled. She led Wolverine to an isolated cabin with Logan claiming to have some vague memories of it with the Native saying it was 'home'. (Wolverine v3 #15)

She demonstrated little capacity for speaking and only a vague understanding of English. (Wolverine v3 #15)
Powers and abilities
As a Mutant, the Native was a feral being with traits similar to Wolverine. She possessed increased strength, reflexes and a healing factor that allowed her to recover from injuries to her body. (Wolverine v3 #13)
From each hand, she was able to protrude three bone claws that she could use to slash at her opponents. (Wolverine v3 #14)
