History
The Salvation Seed was a genetically engineered plant matrix that was created by the famous scientist named Owen Chandler who specialised in botany. Many years ago, he had developed a reputation for himself as a man who developed and bred unique strains of plant life. Chandler was at the forefront of gene splicing even before the practice had a name. In this time, he created a whole new genetic matrix and over the course of many years he was on the verge of a breakthrough but was always missing one vital ingredient. The mounting frustration was said to had possibly contributed to a heart attack that ravaged his old body. Collapsing he scratched his hand on the salvation plant where he believed himself to be dead but in that time the cultivated life form he had nurtured came to bond with him and he found himself alive again that evening. The pain that afflicted him was gone and Owen found himself to be renewed and invigorated. (Hulk v1 #6)

The seed was capable of manifesting as vegetable based copies and duplicates. This allowed them to take the form of other life ranging from humans to animals. In this state, they were able to operate as individuals and seemingly had no knowledge of their true origins. This was until they rested when they reverted into their plant-like state with roots that looked for sustenance. By the time they 'awakened', they returned back to their duplicated form. All these independent aspects of it were in fact part of a single lifeform. It was shown that they were even able to replicate the form of the dead and masquerade as them. These could be made through names and images collected which were shown to the duplicate. (Hulk v1 #6)

Chandler believed they lived in harmony with the most peaceful kingdom on Earth which was flora-based green life. (Hulk v1 #6)
