Biography
Arkon was a person from the extra-dimensional world of Polemachus where he was born of noble heritage. The people of his world had developed a culture that glorified warfare with Arkon rising to become the greatest warrior of his kind. In time, he was appointed as the ruler or Imperion of Polemachus's largest country and mounted military campaigns against the neighboring lands as he sought to conquer his world. These plans came to an end when his homeworld faced a planetary catastrophe when the planetary rings that generated light and heat around Polemachus began to disintegrate. It was deemed by his scientists that the only solution were atomic explosions occurring on the planet Earth where these events somehow transferred power to the planetary energy rings for about a year. As such, his scientific advisors predicted that if they were to atomically annihilate Earth than the planetary energy rings would be completely restored to power.
Rifts in space-time caused creatures from Arkon's realm to travel to Paris on Earth with him along with the Future Foundation working together to return the beasts to his dimension. He and Reed Richards thanked one another with him men returning to Polemachus with Arkon stating that his home was always open to the Fantastic Four. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #658)

- In X-Men: The Animated Series, the character appeared as a villain in the two-part episode "Storm Front" where he was voiced by actor Paul Haddad. The ruler of the other dimensional world of Polemachus's homeworld suffered from a planetary disaster caused by the technology that maintained his war machines allowing him to remain in power. As long as the machines were active, the planetary rings became weakened leading to severe weather disasters. To stave off the meteorological chaos that threatened his people, he travelled to Earth and begged Storm's help due to her Mutant ability to control the weather. After abducting her, she decided to agree as she became both intrigued and suspicious of him leading Storm leaving clues to allow her fellow X-Men to travel to Polemachus. After saving the planet, she was declared a savior whereupon Arkon asked her to marry him with her agreeing to the proposal. She eventually learnt of Arkon's tyrannical ways after seeing his military robots bring in thousands of slaves from nearby planets whereupon she leaves him but not before destroying the energy source powering his armed forces.
- In Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., the character appeared as a villain the episode "The Hunted" where he was voiced by actor Liam O'Brien. His origins were not shown but he was referred to as Arkon the Hunter that hunted creatures from across the cosmos. Arkon's travels brought him to Monster Island where he captured a female Goom and learnt that she had laid eggs that would hatch into four offspring. Seeing the creatures power, he intended to take the eggs and train them to be his hounds in future hunts. Whilst on Monster Island searching for the eggs, he detected the arrival of a craft containing the Hulk and shot it down causing him to crash on the island. Arkon battled Hulk where he was impressed with his foes strength and took both him along with the newborn baby Gooms to his ship. He kept the newborn Gooms in a separate cage and threw Hulk into the cage containing the mother. Arkon stated that he intended to use the Gooms to hunt new prey namely Earth's superheroes with the Hulk being his first victim. However, Hulk managed to trick the mother Goom into burning a hole in the side of the cage allowing her to be reunited with her offspring. During the fight, the ship crashed leaving Arkon stranded and without any of his thunderbolt weapons as the monsters native to the island began to hunt him.
