Biography

Mini-Comics

Faker was an evil robot built to duplicate He-Man's power and use it to serve the forces of evil. He was used by Skeletor to impersonate He-Man in order to distract King Randor from uncovering the great secret of Keldor. Randor was not fooled by this attempt and quickly defeated Faker by impaling him through the chest with his spear.

London Editions UK Magazines

Faker was a magical creation of Skeletor, able to temporarily change from his regular blue-skinned form to exactly the same form as the real He-Man, but the change only ever lasts a short period of time. He held a bitter grudge against the real He-Man after his original loss to him in battle, and a sense of competition, hoping to overcome the man in whose image he had been created.

UK Annuals

Faker was a psychotic mass murderer who was Skeletor's most trusted assistant, and an escapee from the intergalactic Prison Star. He was the result of a spell cast by Skeletor that did not quite work out; it was often stated that this was Beast Man's fault, and although intended as an exact replica of He-Man, Faker had turned out blue-skinned and deformed, and therefore unable to fool the Eternians in the way Skeletor had planned.

Revelations

Skeletor used the Shaping Staff to make Faker look like an exact double of He-Man, Night Stalker to appear as Stridor, Evil-Lyn to pose as Clawful and himself appear as Spikor. Riding "Stridor", the fake He-Man approached Castle Grayskull, leading "Clawful" and "Spikor" as bound prisoners in tow. When the Jaw Bridge openened and the Sorceress appeared, "Spikor" was the first of the company to adress her, throwing off the ropes that bound him and revealing the crutch that he had used to walk to be the shaping staff, before revealing his true self to be Skeletor. The Sorceress immediately fired off a bolt of magic in his direction, knocking the Staff out of Skeletor's hands and sending him flying. But before she could cast another magic spell, she was grabbed from behind by "He-Man" The Shaping Staff was not seen again after it had been knocked out of Skeletor's grasp. Despite of this, Faker, Night Stalker and Evil-Lyn managed to retain their disguises for a little longer, possibly with help from Evil-Lyn's magic. Faker's true form was revealed when the Sorceress used her magic to escape from his grip, blasting off both of his arms in the process. However, Faker immediately began to reassemble himself, by extending tendrils from the stumps of his arms that reached out to his severed limbs, grabbed them and began to re-attach them. The Sorceress then activated a force field around herself and simultaniously activated all of Castle Grayskull's defences, putting tremendous strain upon herself. Faker used both of it's mighty fists to pounce against the Sorceress' force field, but was cut in half by a laser beam fired by Man-At-Arms using his wrist gauntlet

Powers and abilities

One incarnation of Faker was originally a robot built by Man-at-Arms to serve as a duplicate of He-Man. The intention was to serve to help maintain He-Man's secret identity. The robot came to be abandoned in the royal junkyard after his first mission where he was salvaged by the evil warrior Tri-Klops.

Faker was a magical being created by Skeletor to serve him as an evil version of He-Man. Faker was an exact physical replica of He-Man, with the only physical differences being his glowing eyes and hollow-sounding voice. Skeletor used Faker to lure The Sorceress out of Castle Grayskull by pretending to be the real He-Man, suffering pain from an injury. After a quick fight with the real He-Man, Faker charged at him and fell into the bottomless abyss of Grayskull, never to return, despite Skeletor's claims about recovering him
