Biography
Origin
Ti'julk Mr'asz was a male being who came from the planet Vyrga jungle world of sentient insects. He was one of the planet's few free-thinkers among an otherwise conformist, hive-mind. He was also one of the few members of his race who manifested their latent power of teleportation. He was later selected by the people of his world to apply for membership into the Legion of Super-Heroes. Gates did not wish to partake of this lifestyle, for he felt that the United Planets was a fascist regime, but was summarily drafted into their ranks nonetheless. (Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #66)

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
