Biography
Mei-Ling Zhou (simplified Chinese: 周美灵; traditional Chinese: 周美靈; pinyin: Zhōu Měilíng)
Mei was friends with Jiayi in grad school. According to Mei, she and Jiayi "had a lot of fun in grad school. Maybe too much." During her years in climatology, Mei encountered a number of "obstinate anti-intellectualists." At some point, she attended a climatology conference. She introduced cutting-edge innovations in the field of climate manipulation that protected at-risk areas in Asia and beyond.
Though many blamed the planet's escalating, unexplained climate phenomena on the advent of new technologies, the rapidly growing omnic population, and drastically increased consumption of resources, the true cause remained unknown. To find a solution, Overwatch established a series of eco-Watchpoints at remote, critical locations worldwide. Mei was a member of this multi-year initiative. A peerless climatologist, she was assigned to the program's monitoring station at Watchpoint: Antarctica. An atmospheric anomaly above Antarctica was the basis of the base's research, but then, disaster struck: a sudden, catastrophic polar storm battered the installation and cut it off from the outside world, leaving the facility damaged and the scientists stranded. As their supplies dwindled, they entered cryostasis in a last-ditch effort to survive until a rescue attempt could be made. Before entering cryo, Mei made a recording, anticipating waking up and finding a wealth of data to examine.

Powers and abilities
Dr. Mei-Ling Zhou was a world-renowned climatologist who has taken the fight to preserve the environment into her own hands. She specialized in the study of abnormal climate phenomena and their effects on different ecosystems around the world.
Accompanying her was a small weather blue dome-shaped modification drone named Snowball who served as a constant companion for her. It was able to emits gusts of wind and snow in a wide area.
Mei was armed with an Endothermic Blaster which was capable of unleashing a concentrated, short-range stream of frost that damaged and slowed enemies. Alternatively, it could shoot icicle-like projectiles at medium range. She was also able to generate an enormous ice wall that obstructed lines of sight and blocked movement as well as attacks.
She was stationed at Watchpoint: Antartica that was a site maintained by Overwatch which served as an ecopoint that served as a monitoring station for the study of Earth's changing climate.
