Biography

Slaine Troyard (Japanese: スレイン・トロイヤード, Hepburn: Surein Toroiyādo) was the son of Dr Troyard who was a researcher that was studying the mysterious Aldnoah technology and was born on Earth. This came during a time when the Aldnoah technology was discovered and led to Martian colonists forming the Vers Empire that was hostile towards Earth. In 2009, Slain was onboard a rocket ship that crash landed on Mars into a room. Troyard was left unable to breath due to a large amount of hyper-oxygenated fluid in his lungs that caused him to cough violently as he tried to expel it. However, in the room was the young Vers princess Asseylum who helped him by providing reverse mouth-to-mouth resuscitation that sucked out the liquid in his lungs. Slaine was later taken in by the Vers Empire where he was treated cruelly as a lowborn and an inhabitant of Earth. However, he had developed a close friendship with Princess Asseylum where he served as her tutor. During their time together, he taught her much about his home planet which sparked her interest in bringing peace between Mars and Earth.

Overview

Personality and attributes

He became close friends with Princess Asseylum after she spared him and his father after arriving on Mars. This led to his fierce sense of loyalty to her despite being a pacifist at first. Over time, he came to be capable of shooting to cool a person if he believed the Princess's life was endangered. In fact, the long years of being by her side led to him developing feelings of love for Asseylum.
