Gerald Foster was one of the three men who worked at the radar station on Fara Island besides Ken Stanley and an unnamed radar operator. During the islanders' efforts to stop the invading aliens, Foster went with Dr. Godfrey Hanson. While Hanson attracted the aliens by setting fire to some bales of hay, Foster attempted to destroy them with dynamite. When the dynamite failed Foster tried to run away, but he dropped the box of explosives. Despite Hanson's advice not to return, Foster went back for it, only to be killed when one of the aliens got too close to the dynamite and ignited it, blowing Foster up.
