  • Real World: March 9. Vladimir Lenin suffers his third stroke, leaving him bedridden and mute- as a result, he retires as chairman of Soviet Russia.
  • Real World: August 2. U.S. President Warren Harding dies, and is succeeded by Vice President Calvin Coolidge.
  • Real World: September 1. The Great Kanto Earthquake strikes Tokyo and Yokohama, resulting in the deaths of over 140,000 people.
  • Real World: November 8. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis attempt to oust the German goverment, but fail- this event is later known as the "Beer Hall Putsch."
