- DC (Pre-Crisis Earth-1): Humanity at this time has evolved into yellow-skinned, large-headed telepaths. An entity attacks the Earth by feeding off the natives' mental powers, leading history buff Kryad to travel back in time and gain the powers of the Flash in order to defeat the creature. He does defeat the entity, but at the cost of his life. (Flash (1st Series) #309)
