Biography

A'lars

Around 200,000 years ago, A'lars came to argue that the Eternals of Earth should expand the working of the Machine by finding a true means of reproduction. This group came to be opposed by a mainline faction headed by Zuras who were satisfied with the status quo. The resultant arguments between the sides ultimately came to result in war fought between the two factions of Eternals in an event known as the Titan Schism. At the height of the conflict, Daina who operated as mother to A'lars and Zuras requested a summit to end the war. She concluded that A'lars would lose the war and though victorious the cost would be high for Zuras. Thus, a compromise was made to end the war where most of the Eternals would have their minds wiped of all knowledge of the conflict. Meanwhile, A'lars would allowed to conduct his experiments in peace on Titan. (Eternals: Thanos Rises v1 #1)
