Biography

Aladdin (Japanese: アラジン, Hepburn: Arajin) was a male human born to Solomon Jehoahaz Abraham and Queen Sheba of Alma Torran. When Sheba became pregnant, she used magic to slow down his growth inside her womb because she wanted him to be born in a happy world. However, not so long after Solomon united the world, Arba, one of Solomon's followers and Magi betrayed him. She gathered all the members who also had ill will towards him and thus, they formed Al-Thamen. A war broke out between Al-Thamen and Solomon's supporters. Sheba fought with Arba but was ultimately defeated and killed by her. Although Sheba died, Aladdin, who was still within her womb, survived and was entrusted to Ugo as her last will after being placed in a magical orb. After the survivors of Alma Torran were forced to live underground after the surface was made barren, they began to despair over their situation and became suspicious of each other once again. Ugo then presented Aladdin to the survivors as Solomon and Sheba's son and as Solomon's avatar. With this act, all the inhabitants of Alma Torran viewed him as such and the Djinn still recognize him as that currently. Once the new world was created, Al-Thamen began plotting to destroy the new world and Ugo was forced to have Aladdin completely born into the world in hopes of preventing the tragedy of Alma Torran from happening again.

After being freed from the Room of Fortitude, he along with Ugo went on a journey to find the Djinn Metal Vessels. At the time, he came upon a group of desert thieves in Oasis City where he asked them for food only for them to threaten him with a knife. It was then that Ugo's arms manifested to attack the thieves and forcing them to flee. Later, Aladdin was caught eating the food from Leila and Sahsa's caravan and as compensation, he is forced to work for three days without pay. For the next few days, he spends his time with Leila and Sahsa, helping with chores and getting to know the two and even introduces Ugo to them. Eventually, the caravan plans to go through a canyon and asks Leila's opinion on which direction they should take. She suggests they take route four out of fear of a thieves' guild placed along route three. During the discussion, Leila's past is revealed to her caravan who decide to pick route four since they are convinced that Leila is trying to trick them. Aladdin acknowledges Leila and believes in her. When she says it's too late, Aladdin assures her that it isn't too late and summons Ugo to go after the caravan. While Sahsa's caravan is being attacked by the thieves, Aladdin, Leila, and Ugo arrive to defeat the thieves. Afterwards, both Leila and Sahsa thank Aladdin and bid him farewell. Some time later, Aladdin rides on a cart along with a woman and her daughter, Mina; Budel, a wealthy wine vendor; and Alibaba Saluja, the driver. Along the ride, Aladdin unknowingly insults Budel and is quickly scolded by Alibaba. Afterwards, he talks with Alibaba who shares his dreams about conquering dungeons and getting rich. However, he's interrupted by Budel who insults Alibaba's dream. Alibaba laughs it off but Aladdin notices how much Budel's words truly frustrates him. Shortly after, their caravan is attacked by a Desert Hyacinth from underneath and their cart is tipped over along with all of Budel's wine. While gathering them, Budel accidentally bumps into a barrel of his wine and the little girl who had been riding on the cart earlier, throwing them over the edge. As Alibaba reaches out to save Mina, he is pushed out of the way by Budel, who was trying to save his wine and Mina falls into the Desert Hyacinth.

During the journey, the tired Aladdin came to find a caravan along the path and managed to convince the rider to let him travel with them. The carriage was then attacked by bandits who killed the escorts whereupon the passenger inside revealed themselves to be Kouha Ren. He was a prince of the Kou Empire who was a Dungeon Capturer where he used his powers to easily massacre the bandits. Aladdin then met Kouha but decided not to reveal his true nature as a magi after remembering the waring that the Kou sought such people out. He learnt that the Kou Prince was also travelling to Magnostadt on a mission and allowed the travelling Aladdin to accompany them as they made their way to the border of the city. On arriving, the two parted ways and Aladdin went about going through an inspection of his magical ability that all new arrivals had to undergo in order to enter the city.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Aladdin was a short small figure who had medium long blue hair and bangs that stopped at his eyes. It was shown that he had large blue eyes and a long thin braid that extended to his back. He was said to be the spitting image of his father though Momo had said that his eyes resembled his mother.

It was shown that he had a kind and cheerful personality that made it easy for him to make friends.

Aladdin was shown to cherish friends a lot since he never really had close companions before except for Ugo.

As he spent most of his life in the Room of Fortitude, it was shown that Aladdin was somewhat naïve about the world with him not familiar with bazaars or Dungeons.

Aladdin also has a tendency to eat food that did not belong to him.

He also harbored a secret feeling of loneliness because he's different from everyone else since he's a magician and since he's different even from the three other Magis, him being the fourth Magi that should nit even exist.

While their first meeting was a little rocky, Yamraiha declared Aladdin to be an excellent magician and believed he would get the highest level at Magnostadt's. She acts like a mother to him, sewing him a new robe and giving him Mogamett's staff (where he admits that both were a bit sloppy). When she sees him again, she weeps happily knowing he was alive and runs over to hug him, asking where he had been all this time.

Powers and abilities

As one of the Magi, Aladdin was capable of seeing and manipulating Magoi within the world which he could use to perform different types of magic that he could use in battle with him able to overpower strong fighters with it.

Whilst at Magnostadt, he was classified as a 'red magician' who was talented in the use of flame and heat magic.

He was familiar with a range of spells that included:

  • Borg (防壁魔法ボルグ Borugu, "Magic Barrier") : said to be the proof of a person being a magician where it was a defensive ability that saw the user use their Magoi to over their surroundings in a barrier to block out attacks with evil intentions.
  • Har-Har Infigar (灼熱の双掌ハルハール・インフイガー, Haruhāru Infigāru, "Scorching Heat Double Palms") : a type of heat magic taught to Aladdin by Ugo whereby he asked the Rukh to convert into heat which he they fired at a target.
  • Har-Har Rasas (灼熱の連弾ハルハール・ラサース, Haruhāru Rasāsu, Scorching Heat Consecutive Bullets) : a mid-level heat magic that created multiple heat balls that Aladdin could individually control where they made a small explosion upon contact.
  • Shallal Sarab (水鏡の蜃気楼 (シャラール・サラブ), Sharāru.Sarabu, Water Mirror Mirage) : using water magic, Aladdin was able to create a mirage by generating a refraction in the light through high-temperature steam.
  • Shallal Raqi (蒸発の洗礼シャラール・ラーキイ, Sharāru Rāki, Evaporation Baptism) : a composite spell that utilised both heat and water spells that heated up the water inside the opponent's body which was used as the basis for his Shallal Sarab technique.
  • Asfal Riih (突風アスファル・リーフ, Asufaru Rīfu) : a wind magic that created a miniature tornado with Aladdin refining the technique after a years worth of training whereupon he was able to lift up to 50 people on a sheet in the air.
  • Al-Kimia Al-Qadima (錬金魔法アルキミア・アルカディーマ Arukimia Arukadīma, Alchemic Magic) : a spell he came to use whereby Aladdin gathered particles floating in the world around him and reconfigured them to create totally different things.

He had the unique magical talent that was known as the Wisdom of Solomon (ソロモンの知恵, Soromon no Chie) whereby he was able to hear the will of the Rukh. This allowed him to communicate with anyone's Rukh including those contained in the living and those of the dead. It also allowed normal people to hear the will of Rukh where it seemingly allowed him to see the past, present and future. With it, he could temporarily summon departed souls back to life as a way to say any last goodbyes though this was very tiring for Aladdin.

At Magnostadt, Myers put Aladdin through basic martial arts training in order to improve his physical strength as this bettered his magical abilities.

Aladdin came to possess a djinn that was his protector and guide with this being Ugo (ウーゴ, Ūgo)

He had a number of magical tools on his person which he used for a variety of feats. One included his Magic Turban (魔法のターバン, Mahō no Tāban) that could wrap open into becoming a magic carpet infused with Magoi which could be used for flying and was able to hold a lot of weight.

Yamraiha came to give him a magical tool that he could implant on his skin that suppressed his natural talent at calling the Rukh to him. She also provided him with the magic tool called the Eye of the Rukh (ルクの眼, Rufu no Hitomi) that was infused with long range clairvoyance magic. It allowed for two people to communicate with one another despite being separated over great distances and used the persons Magoi to activate it.
