Alexander Grayson is a male character that feature's in NBC's Dracula.

Biography

Origin

He stated that he witnessed the cruelty of the Order of the Dragon when he saw entire villages killed by them under the guise of the cross and the use of the sword. Dracula claimed to had seen such villages being burnt as heretics and crying for a God that never saved them. As such, he developed an utter hatred for the Order and sought to destroy them. (Episode: The Blood is the Life)

The crypt holding him was later visited by outsiders that intended to awaken him and fed him blood to his famished dead body thus bringing about his resurrection. (Episode: The Blood is the Life)

Dracula

Following his return, he took the guise as an American businessman in the Victorian era and went by the name of Alexander Grayson. He became based at Carfax Manor and conducted a campaign of bringing in technological progress where he attempted to get patents to secure this initiative. His first task being the creation of wireless electrical energy that would shatter the established monopoly over petroleum resources. This led to him showcasing this development at his manor in a public setting where Lady Jayne Weatherby attended the event. His ultimate goal was destroying the stranglehold the Order had on oil by developing geomagnetic energy which would shatter the secret society's power and money. (Episode: The Blood is the Life)

Overview

Personality and attributes

As Grayson, he claimed that the world remained in a dark age and never left it. As such, he championed technological initiatives and bring the people into the light by starting with the creation of wireless electrical energy. He claimed that such a campaign would bring about the future and start of a new era. In the guise of Grayson, he stated that he believed in the work's of Darwin in that mankind were animals and that he was determined in bringing about evolution. (Episode: The Blood is the Life)

Powers and abilities

Though impaled and killed, his dead body still held the potential for his resurrection so long as the spikes were removed and he was fed blood which was the key to his return. (Episode: The Blood is the Life)
