Biography
Origin
Algon was a male human being who lived over 2,000 years ago where he was a Roman soldier who came to be separated from his legion. As he wandered the lands, he stumbled upon a strange pyramid and entered where he was transformed into one of the Metamorphae. (Metamorpho v1 #17)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
For centuries, he came to find himself imprisoned within the Kingdom of Elements and tasked with keeping its power contained. After a millennia of imprisonment, Algon came to sense an opportunity to escape into the real world were he began turning the citizens of Michigan into creatures like Metamorpho. The chaos allowed him to take the Orb of Ra and he intended to force Rex Mason to take his place within the Kingdom of Elements. (The Terrifics v1 #5)

Powers and abilities
As a Man of Elements, his body was composed of various elements that he could manipulate to achieve a wide variety of feast. (Metamorpho v1 #17) It was known that he had lived for 2,000 years. (The Sandman v2 #20)
Similar to other Metamorphae, his body was composed of a metaplasm that was held together by a morphogenic field. (The Sandman v2 #20)
He came to be imprisoned within the Kingdom of Elements where he was tasked with overseeing it. (The Terrifics v1 #5)
