Biography
Alicia Claus
When his daughter, Alicia perished in a plane crash, the good doctor’s mind for altruism and kindness quickly turned to madness. Every source that could potentially revive, no matter how outlandish, was examined by the good doctor.
Despite the Darkness saying the city is doomed, Alicia helps the survivors and ends up helping local resistance forces led by Maxwell Cougar evacuate survivors. During her time there, she and the resistance are forced to flee from Omega—a powerful demon immune to magic and gunfire—and Maxwell asks for her aid in saving humanity. While they work together, Maxwell gives Alicia a journal fragment revealing that an archeologist performed a ritual to revive a loved one after she died in a plane crash—his actions opened a portal allowing the demons to attack humanity.
She later encountered Maxwell Cougar who was a military leader of one of the last human armed forces. He requested that she offer her aid and use of her powers to help save mankind. Once meeting with them, Alicia accompanied them as they fled underground and encountered the greater demon Omega. Upon making their way to the underground base, they discovered many soldiers had been slaughtered by the Geist. Cougar than gave Alicia part of a journal that contained the writings of an archaeologist who seemed responsible for the emergence of the Geist after conducting a sacrifice to bring back his dead family who perished in a plane crash in 2006.
Alicia accompanies the resistance forces to the location of the portal, aiding them and further survivors along the way. When she reaches the portal's location, she discovered the archeologist still alive as a prisoner of the portal. Receiving the remaining journal entries from him, Alicia discovers that she herself is the archeologist's daughter and is only alive and able to wield magic due to his actions. Alicia is forced to kill her father to close the portal, although the remaining demons still control Earth. Alicia and Maxwell return to the city and finally defeat Omega through their combined strength, liberating the city from demon control. Despite this victory, the battle is far from over, and despite Maxwell's growing attachment to her, Alicia decides to continue her mission. Newspaper articles during the credits show humanity defeating the demons and recovering from the natural disasters while Alicia continues wandering the world.
Overview
Personality and attributes
The Darkness that aided her demonstrated an arrogant attitude and held little regard over human life.
Her father was an archaeologist named Dr. Robert Claus. It was shown that he could not handle the death of his daughter. This led to him consulting dark forces to resurrect her even if it meant plunging the world into darkness.
Powers and abilities
Alicia is an advanced wielder of magic, and has a diverse array of spells that reflect this. She regenerates wounds over time, and possesses the strength, stamina, and endurance of a human women of about twenty years old, in peak physical condition.
Using her will power, she gained an unfocused form of telekinesis that allowed her to project objects through space using sheer force of will. Alicia could move objects as large as passenger cars but not something as large as buses or buildings.
Alicia was able to summon a phantasmal projectile spear known as Rose Spear that she could hurl towards a target where it could impale objects similar to an iron spear.
Another ability she had was Raven Panic where she summoned a swarm of murderous ravens able to aggressively assault, distract or peck at targets.
She possessed a form of healing where she could bleed herself to restore the life essence in others. The arcane blood in her body healed wounds and reversed any injuries though it was not capable of bringing the dead back to life. It was shown that this ability hurt her.
Claus could summon an ancient arcane wall that appeared to be made of normal bricks but were covered in magical symbols. This could serve as a temporary barrier against attacks though it could be shattered or broken as easily as a brick wall.
Among her more powerful spells included the ability to call Lightning where bolts struck at her target. It was most devastating upon the stoutest, strongest, and largest of individuals though using the spell was extremely draining. Another spell she could use was the power to conjure an arcane Tornado of massive power that was capable of sweeping up objects as large as oil tankers and ensnaring them in swirling winds. Alicia's most powerful and difficult spell to call upon was the Meteor Shower whereby she called flaming meteors to fall from the sky. These were able to devastate enemies and buildings alike but she was unable to precisely control where they landed in the field.
Within her mind, there was the Darkness that was a formless demon who operated in the edges of Alicia's consciousness. He aided her with the use of powerful magic and able to draw out numerous spells along with knowledge.
She also wielded a huge gun known as the Gunrod whose design was reminiscent of a broom. The gun rod had transformations into a shot gun, machine gun and a gatling gun. It can also be used to cast spells.
