All-Systems University

The All-Systems University is an institution that features in Andromeda.

History

The All-Systems University was formed during the Age of Reform which saw the birth of the Systems Commonwealth. In the year 4352 CY, a variety of higher learning institutions within the newly formed Commonwealth decided to pool their resources together thus affiliating themselves with one another. This act led to the creation of the All Systems University which became an indispensable body that was responsible for the education of trillions of sentient beings. They were also known to be responsible for the collection of knowledge and wisdom throughout Known Space which was placed within a central library within the University. Despite the Fall of the Commonwealth, elements of the All-Systems University through its Special Collections Division managed to survive the three century aftermath and well into the Long Night where one of their bases of operations was on the planet Sinti. These individuals worked throughout the Known Worlds in order to gather knowledge as part of an ongoing preparation for the return of a re-established Systems Commonwealth. One of their agents uncovered a highly incendiary data archive located from an archaeological dig but was later targeted by servants of the Spirit of the Abyss. (Episode: Into the Labyrinth) This Special Collections Division agent was known as Renvik and was hunted by the bounty hunter Jeger and ultimately mortally wounded in the process but not before transfering the contents of the library into Seamus Harper who was a crew member of the Andromeda Ascendant. The library data was later revealed to contain a recording of the battle of Brandenburg Tor as well as visuals of the Abyss leading the Magog in their onslaught. (Episode: Harper 2.0)

Overview

Members of the All-Systems University were often referred to as librarians.

Members of this organization were known as Collectors whose quest consisted of gathering all knowledge. An identifying feature amongst them was a symbol that they often wore on certain parts of their body which allowed others to determine their affiliation. (Episode: Into the Labyrinth)
