Biography
Allen was the name given to a member of the Unopan race where he was the result of genetic engineering in creating a super-powered member of their kind capable of fighting the Viltrumites.
His homeworld of Unopa was invaded by the Viltrumite empire who came to conquer it in a matter of days. However, the ever resourceful Unopans managed to escape for a new life in the stars. To ensure their survival, their civilisation came to establish breeding camps on various outposts. Offspring were produced in a factory environment which resulted in a complete breakdown of family structure and social behaviour in Unopan society. Afterwards, the Coalition of Planets came to be impressed at the Unopans ability to survive and invited them to join their interstellar alliance. It was then that a plan was brought before the High Council of Elders where a method of genetic enhancements would be used to create a new breed of Unopan that would be used to help withstand the Viltrumite invasion. For years, the Unopan government experimented on unborn fetuses but the results were deemed a complete failure until they eventually produced Allen. He came to be the first and only subject to survive the tests without disfigurement or mental handicap. (Invincible v1 #23) Other Unopans were experimented on until Allen was able to survive the various experiments without getting any disfigurements. (Invincible v1 #22)
Sometime afterwards, he was chosen Champion Evaluation Officer for the Coalition of Planets. His job was to test a planetary guardian's strength every three year. (Invincible v1 #3)
Allen had made many journey throughout the cosmos and his journey would eventually bring him to Earth. There he would battle Omni-Man many times, believing him to be a planetary guardian. (Invincible v1 #22)
Months later, Allen fully heals from his injuries. Trying to get out the machine he was placed in, he breaks it, revealing his new and improved physique. Later, Thaedus goes to visit Allen with the latter complimenting his new changes. Thaedus states that his strength and invulnerability is close or at Viltrumite levels. Allen asks how and got that information. Thaedus then asks the nurse to leave them. Thaedus then pulls off his beard and reveals that he is a Viltrumite. Thaedus goes on to say that he was the first to rebel against the empire. (Invincible v1 #38)

Allen was a genetically engineered Unopan who was experimented upon from birth in order to create a being capable of fighting Viltrumites. (Invincible v1 #23) As a result, he had a range of superhuman abilities including flight, endurance, and incredible strength. (Invincible v1 #5)
During their first encounter he took many blows from Invincible and was even slammed in the Moon without any real damage. (Invincible v1 #5)
Though enhanced, it was said that his strength was not up to the standards of fighting Viltrumites in combat. (Invincible v1 #23)
He was able to read the thoughts of others, and if wants he can mentally communicate with others, although it causes him a headache every time. (Invincible v1 #5)
As a member of the Coalition of Planets, he came to be a Champion Evaluation Officer where his duty was to go to coalition member worlds on scheduled encounters for a fight against the protecting champion that defended the planet. This was to ensure standards were maintained by the assigned champion and offered a training exercise for them in pursuit of their goal of defending against minor orbital threats. (Invincible v1 #5)
