Personality and attributes

After her marriage to Ted Castle, she came to be known as Alyssa Castle. (Fantastic Four v1 #554) Susan Richards tended to refer to her as Ms. Fantastic due to her being a match for Reed Richards. (Fantastic Four v1 #555)

It was known that she and Reed were in love with one another but they never got together with Alyssa reasoning that they had duty to spread their genes to the rest of the population to improve intelligence of the species. (Fantastic Four v1 #555)

Franklin Richards referred to her as 'Aunt Alyssa' when she looked after them. (Fantastic Four v3 #5)

• Alyssa Moy was created by Chris Claremont and Salvador Larroca where she made her first appearance in Fantastic Four v3 #5 (May, 1998).
• In an interview in Uncanny X-Men v1 #495 (2008), writer Mark Millar commented on his run in Fantastic Four that included Alyssa Moy, "Yeah, she's great fun. It just always struck me that Reed would have had someone prior to Sue, since he's ten years older than she is. Also, Sue's so different from Reed and I felt the girl out there would be much more like he was, a female Reed Richards of sorts, and someone he'd have met at university. As luck would have it, Chris Claremont created exactly such a character and her name is Alyssa Moy. Her nickname in our story is Mrs. Fantastic and you'll see why when you read the first issue."
