Biography

Amazing Grace lives among the lowlies of Apokolips. A loyal agent of Darkseid, she pretends to preach opposition to Darkseid's word and encourages them to revolt.[3] When they do, they are easily defeated, crushing their revolt and their spirits. After Superman (in his civilian guise as Clark Kent) was transported to Apokolips Grace was "captured" by Darkseid's troops and was to be thrown into the firepits; all to lure Superman out. He saved her, but he himself fell into the firepits. He survived, but with no memory or powers. It was implied that Grace seduced Superman on behalf of Darkseid, and convinced the Man of Steel that he was Darkseid's son. Superman was given his powers back when he allied himself with Darkseid and led Darkseid's forces into battle. Serving Darkseid, Superman went into battle against Darkseid's true son, Orion, who used the powers of the Motherbox to restore Superman's memories while erasing his knowledge of, and guilt over, the thousands that had died because of his actions under Grace's influence.

Darkseid sent Amazing Grace among the Hunger Dogs to give them hope of rebellion against him. When Superman came to Apokolips she used her mind control to make Superman into the Hunger Dog's champion and lead them into battle against the Parademons in open revolt against Darkseid. After suffering heavy casualties they won a brief victory. As they celebrated Amazing Grace had Superman address them and tell them their hopes were about to be crushed, and a squad of Parademons slaughtered the Dogs. Amazing Grace, satisfied with showing the Dogs how hopeless their situation was, handed control of Superman over to Darkseid. (Adventures of Superman v1 #426)

Amazing Grace tries to seduce Lightray with her power of mesmerizing speech in an attempt to kill him, but fails as he uses his light powers to stun her. (Action Comics v1 #586)

Darkseid accompanied by Amazing Grace and Kalibak came to invade Olympus on Earth only to find the abode of the Greek gods to be empty. At this time, both Superman and Wonder Woman had arrived at Olympus. At first, Superman encountered an amorous Wonder Woman who throws herself at him. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman encountered an arrogant Superman. This Superman though turned out to be Kalibak in disguise, whilst the fake Wonder Woman was actually Amazing Grace. Both villains attack the heroes once their deception fails. (Action Comics v1 #600)
