Biography

Archibald Corrigan

Corrigan helps Patch out on several encounters with the criminal elements of Madripoor. Early on he works with Patch in a confrontation with governmental elements, also criminals, of Madripoor, two of whom are the powerful Nguyen Ngoc Coy and Madripoor's ruler, Prince Baran. While in Madripoor, he was intimidated by Bloodsport and Roughouse into ceasing to work for Tyger Tiger and instead offering his services to their employer, General Coy. After Patch came to Archie for help saving Tyger's life, he agreed to help. (Wolverine v2 #4) However, he intended to shoot Patch with his own gun while they were in the air, although he reconsidered moments before the plane was attacked by a fighter jet. Later on, Archie and Patch coordinated over short-wave radio to ambush and destroy Coy's supply convoy. (Wolverine v2 #5) In attempting to rescue Lindsay McCabe and Jessica Drew from General Coy, he threatened his niece, Karma. Coy called his bluff and Bloodsport attacked Archie, before being knocked out of the way by Jessica. (Wolverine v2 #6)

Archie's father passes away, leaving him thirty dollars, one dollar for every year of aggravation. His brother Burt, a mentally unstable man, gains the majority of the inheritance. Archie's Aunt Ruth calls a competency hearing for Burt. Archie asks Patch to come with him as moral support. All believe Ruth is simply after Burt's money. Archie's brother manifests a disconnect with reality, seeing life in terms of action movie stars. (Wolverine v2 #11)
