History
The Club had sent numerous invitations to Bruce Wayne to join their membership but he kept refusing them. This changed when Bethanie Ravencroft was on a date with Mr Wayne and convinced him to join her to going to the Argus Club. Upon reaching the Club, he was ambushed by the League of Assassins that were being headed by the Silver Monkey. They took him hostage whilst Silver Monkey sought to bring about Katana and acquire the lost Soultaker sword that was in her possession. Tatsu Yamashiro later arrived at the Club's mansion estate where she was surrounded by assassins from the League that sought to acquire the Soultaker from her. Despite her resistance and aid from the Batman, the pair were defeated by Silver Monkey who claimed the sword. He intended to displace Lady Shiva as leader of the League with this new weapon at his hand. However, Lady Shiva had anticipated this and was present at the scene where Silver Monkey's assassins refused to fight her but instead turned on him. They shot tranquilizer darts at him causing him to collapse which allowed Lady Shiva to take the sword and use it to take the soul of Bethany Ravencroft. She would have turned its power against Batman and Katana had Alfred not fired a rocket at the mansion. The hole in the roof allowed Lady Shiva to make her exit whilst her assassins targeted the two heroes who managed to escape. (Episode: Family)
Overview
According to Ms Ravencroft, she stated that the Club was like a family to her. Wayne commented on whether the Club controlled the League of Assassins or whether it was the other way around. In its Gotham estate, the Club had a ritual room that was stated to be the place where leaders were groomed and wars were planned. (Episode: Family)
