History
Monolith Timeline
The Armacham Technology Corporation (A.T.C.) was a multinational corporation established on Earth in the modern age and had been in operation since 1964.
The Board of Directors sends ATC Black Ops under Colonel Richard Vanek to arrest Genevieve, but they fail due to Michael Becket killing Vanek and most of the Black Ops personnel. Genevieve tries to contain Alma Wade by using Becket as a beacon, so he can lure her into the telesthetic amplifier at the Still Island nuclear power plant.
With Colonel Richard Vanek dead and the majority of the Armacham Black Ops stationed in Fairport scattered, the corporation sends more mercenaries to finish the same task: eliminating all evidence that connects it to the recent events in the city. This includes aggressive and disciplined soldiers that intelligently utilize cover to search for and ambush their target. They coordinate with other squad members to provide suppressing fire, execute flanking maneuvers, and to patrol and search areas.
Vivendi Timeline
Overview
In appearance, the Armacham Technology Corporation was a multi-national conglomerate which prided itself on being on the cutting edge of technology, with research and development occurring primarily for military applications, including aerospace.
The company was headed by a Board of Directors with the Chairman at its head. The Board of Directors control the majority of the global ATC.
They had highly-efficient nuclear reactors, working cryogenic suspension technology, cloning technology, and can be extremely unethical with regards to their methods.
Among the creations of the company included:
- Project Icarus : a highly sensitive and ethically compromised research initiative conducted by the Armacham Technology Corporation (ATC) that focused on the development of advanced physiological enhancement through the manipulation of gravity and bone density. Orchestrated within the subterranean Auburn facility, the project sought to create 'super soldiers' who could withstand the extreme physical pressures of high-speed aerial combat and rapid planetary deployment by artificially increasing their skeletal durability and muscle mass. This was achieved through the administration of volatile chemical compounds and prolonged exposure to high-gravity environments, though the procedure was notoriously unstable and resulted in horrific physical deformities or total biological collapse for the majority of the test subjects. While it ran parallel to the more infamous Project Origin, Icarus served as a vital component of ATC’s broader goal to militarise the human body, eventually producing a small cadre of elite, heavily armoured Icarus troopers who possessed superhuman resilience and the ability to operate in environments that would be lethal to standard infantry.
- Project Paragon : an ambitious, multi-generational endeavor to identify and cultivate children with high Psychic Linkage Ratings (PLR) for potential military application. Operating primarily through the Vance Street Middle School as a front, the project utilized standardized testing and "extra-curricular" medical screenings to covertly monitor the local population of Fairport for latent extrasensory abilities. Those who displayed exceptional promise were labeled as 'Paragons' and subsequently moved into more intensive, clandestine observation programs where their mental faculties were catalogued and stress-tested. The project was inherently linked to the success of Project Origin, as the ATC leadership sought a stable, controllable psychic commander who could lead the Replica Army without the catastrophic instability exhibited by Alma Wade. However, the project's ethical boundaries were non-existent, involving the manipulation of family records and the psychological conditioning of young subjects who were often unaware of their true purpose. By the time of the Fairport explosion, Project Paragon had successfully identified several key candidates, including the young Sgt. Michael Becket, whose unique genetic and psychic profile made him the ideal and ultimately tragic—subject for the subsequent Project Harbinger experiments
- Project Origin :
- Project Perseus :
- Project Pythagoras : a non-invasive series of experiments involving using drugs to teach children better math skills.
- Project Harbinger :
Besides just their official office buildings, Armacham owns a good many secret locations. The most public of these places was the Wade Elementary School, named after top ATC scientist Harlan Wade. While on the outside a normal school, underneath the main building is a research facility, where children were taken for experimentation.
