Arsenal in Avengers Assemble.
  • In Avengers Assemble, the character began making an appearance in the second season starting with the episode "The Arsenal" where he was voiced by Jim Meskimen. He was shown as being a robotic being created by Howard Stark as part of his Project Arsenal secret program. This humanoid construct had two pieces of programming; its primary goal being to be a friend to Howard's son Tony Stark and secondary goal being energy containment. It had a user interface mode to engage in social interaction and identified Tony as an authorized user whilst also able to manipulate energy by shunting it into an extradimensional location. At some point, he was dispatched by Howard Stark to the Russian city of Poteryani Les that suffered a breach in its gamma reactor leaking radiation into the area with Arsenal entering into the area to stabilize the damage but would shut down in the process. By the modern day, the Avengers encountered the Power Stone that had immense levels of energy that could not be held and was desired by Thanos. This led to Tony Stark remembering his own fathers work on Project Arsenal and believed it to be an aid to the in containing the Infinity Stone. They would trace the trail to Poteryani Les where they discovered that Project Arsenal was a robot that was deep within the gamma reactor forcing the Avengers to ask the Hulk to take the Power Stone to the robot which would power it. This act would reactivate Arsenal who recognized Tony Stark and aided him in defeating Thanos's warship that had come to the reclaim the Power Stone. In "Thanos Rising", it was said that Arsenal was Howard Stark's greatest creation with the robot created with the goal of being Tony's best friend and protector. It was shown that Arsenal was able to absorb energy with the excess power being shunted into another dimension though the machine was able to bring this energy back but at the cost of its existence. The Power Stone was interfaced with Arsenal giving him incredibly energy reserves that could be projected into a beam attack but the robot was unable to control the output that needed to be filtered. During the fight with Thanos, Arsenal sacrificed himself by releasing the stored energy in another dimension to defeat the Mad Titan but his body was destroyed leaving only his inactive head. Hawkeye would hail the machine as an Avenger with Tony Stark stating that he would work night and day to restore Arsenal.
