Biography

Origin

Artemis Crock

Artemis competed in the Olympic Games for Zandia. Together with Merlyn and his protégé Turk, she formed the archery team. The event was overshadowed by the injury of American star archer Tina Thomas, which led to a large fight in the middle of the arena. Artemis was defeated by Impulse. A day later, the tournament could continue. Another attack was made, this time on Cissie King-Jones, but her mother discovered the true culprit: Paula Crock, Artemis' mother. She feared her daughter was going to lose, and sabotaged the games. Artemis was not happy, and berated her. She did not win any medals. (Young Justice v1 #23)

Artemis took up the identity of Tigress and joined Johnny Sorrow’s Injustice Society. The Injustice Society broke into JSA Headquarters while the only hero at home was Wildcat. Wildcat single-handedly defeated the Society, but afterwards Johnny Sorrow teleported his team to safety. (JSA v1 #10)

Johnny Sorrow split the Injustice Society into small teams and had them attack various JSA members. Tigress, Shiv and Icicle assaulted JSA headquarters, and Tigress gravely injured Green Lantern by shooting him with a wooden arrow made from the remains of Blackbriar Thorn. Tigress was defeated by Hawkgirl and her teammates were beaten by the second Star-Spangled Kid. (JSA v1 #17)

Under orders from the Injustice Society’s new leader Legacy (Wizard) Tigress and her teammates broke Icicle II out of D.E.O. custody and fought the JSA. Using some of Legacy’s arcane devices the Injustice Society transported the founding members of the JSA to a prison in a pocket dimension, then Legacy teleported the Injustice Society to safety. (JSA All-Stars v1 #1)

When the Culling starts, Artemis is killed by another combatant named Fist Point, whom she had a rivalry with. (Teen Titans Annual v4 #1) After their ordeal with the future was settled, the Teen Titans discover that Harvest started another colony, this time in Africa.
