Atmir was a male Atlantean that featured in Warlords of Atlantis.

Biography

Atmir was an ancient being who's evolution did not begin on Earth but rather on Mars which was dying at the time. Long ago, his people sent a meteor that contained all their cities which crashed into the oceans of Earth where it formed the underground land of Atlantis. He became one of the ruling class of his people who remained hidden from the Humans from the surface for countless years whilst learning about their history. His people barely managed to survive on primitive Earth and were forced to subtley guiding it to maturity so that they would survive. He eventually rose to the position of Section Ccouncillor of the city of Vaar and ensured that its slaves benefited from its protection so that it did not end up like the rest of the Outer Limits.

He was dispatched to a pool where the survivors of the Texas Rose were deposited by the large octopus-like Sentinel. Once there, he greeted the Humans and dispatched the smooth helmeted Guardians to escort them to Atlantean territory. On their journey, they became ambushed by a mutant fish creature though there were no deaths or injuries. Atmir told his Human comrades that they were not natural evolutions but mutations who became monstrous predatory beasts.

Their journey took them to the third city of Troy where they would rest in the Hall of Judgement. Charlie, one of the Humans they had recovered, said that the writings of Plato said there were six cities but Atmir retorted emotionlessly by saying that there were many things Plato got wrong. He revealed during the conversation that there were seven cities in Atlantis but two of them were lost to time beyond the Outer Zone. Once the group rested, he told them that they only had a short journey before them to Vaar, the fourth city in Atlantis where they would be safe.

Whilst there, Atmir noticed the Human George interacting with a slave. He sent the Guardians to arrest George but this led to a skirmish between the survivors of the Texas Rose and the Guardian forces until the Atlanteans surrounded the Humans. They were then taken into custody by the Guardians where they were left in the prison except for Charlie who was taken to the fifth city called Chinqua, the playground of the Elite. He was escorted Inquisitor of the Council of the Elite Atsil who was also the queen of the Atlantean people. Once the introductions were complete, Atmir departed for his other duties.

Atmir returned when the city of Vaar came under attack from Zaargs and informed the crew of the Texas Rose that Charles Atkin would be used to help fulfil the Atlantean destiny. He then told the crew that once the attack was repulsed then they would be dealt with in a manner that would allow them to survive as all Human survivors brought to Atlantis were subjected to genetic engineering that resulted in them getting gill implants allowing them to survive in the altered atmosphere but leaving them unable to return to the surface world.

He then personally commanded the defenses of Vaar against the large reptilian four legged Zaargs which began climbing the city walls whilst the slave soldiers combated them. He was summoned once again by Atsil who informed him that Charles Atkin was captured by his comrades and the Inquisitor commanded him to retrieve the Human. Atmir asked about his comrades but Atsil said that they were to be terminated. He thus took a group of Guardians to accomplish his task. He beat the escapees to the lake where the diving pod was located and called out to Atken calling for him to come out and return to the Upper Cities and that he would let his comrades go. However, when they refused, he commanded his Guardians to fire at the enemy.
