History
Auto Memories Dolls (自動手記人形オート・メモリーズ・ドール, Jidō Shuki Ningyō?, lit. "Automatic Note Doll"), often referred to as Dolls (ドル, Dōru?), was a development that emerged in human society. They were traced to Doctor Orland who was a researcher whose wife Molly was a novelist that began to lose her sight. Upon becoming blind, she became depressed for being unable to write novels as this provided meaning in her life causing her to grow weaker each day. This led to her husband deciding to find a means of helping her as he could not bear to see her in such a state and built the first Auto Memories Doll.
