History

The Autocrons were a humanoid race of sentient machines native to the planet Cron situated in Betelguise Star System of the Milk Way Galaxy. (Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook v1 #1) In time, they came to establish the Autocron Empire that sought to expand across space where they dispatched roving scouts to claim worlds for them with these having organic life exterminated from them. (Machine Man v1 #4)

Overview

In appearance, Autocrons were humanoid beings that were covered in a metallic material. (Machine Man v1 #3) They were described as being a form of machine life. (Avengers v3 #36) Autocrons were impervious to energy weapons though powerful sonics could cause their systems to crash. (Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook v1 #1)

Individuals could be outfitted with a number of equipment such as neutralizers to absorb attacks and vertigo inducers against armored enemies leaving a mind disconnected from their body. (Machine Man v1 #3) An Autocron was capable in utilising defences against phased attacks thus protecting them from such assaults. (Machine Man v1 #3) They could emit paralysis beams from their eyes that could leave organic beings frozen in place and unable to move. (Machine Man v1 #3) An Autocron's faceplate was able to pull back and beneath it they were able to fire powerful energy blasts to annihilate a target. (Machine Man v1 #4) For quick movement, they could fly through thrusters located on their feet. (Machine Man v1 #3) When needed, they could send out an intergalactic signal to others of their kind. (Machine Man v1 #4) They were able to transform their limbs into hand antennae that were powerful enough to go into deep space to send transmissions to their invasion fleets. (Machine Man v1 #5)

Their civilization was based on synthetic life forms ruling over organic beings. (Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook v1 #1) They had established an interstellar empire that sought the conquest of other worlds and turning inhabited planets into slave colonies. (Machine Man v1 #5) Under their code, it was illegal to keep the existence of organic beings which were to be terminated. (Machine Man v1 #3) Independent thinking was considered an act of rebellion which could see a member of their kind being stripped of rank and exiled. (Avenges v3 #36) It was shown that the Autocrons had a deem view of organic beings who they eliminated and looked down on mechanical races that served creatures of flesh. Such individuals were seen as traitors with the Autocrons never forgiving those that had sympathies to organics. (Machine Man v1 #5)

A particular and prestigious rank among their kind was that of the Holocaust Specialists. (Machine Man v1 #3) They were tasked with the mission of eradicating organic life on planets so that their race could come in to repopulate the lifeless world. (Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook v1 #1) Their empire depended on scouts that roved the universe in order to expand their empire. (Machine Man v1 #3)

They had an amazing aptitude towards engineering and programming. (Planet Hulk: Gladiator Guidebook v1 #1) Autocron science had developed to make them capable of interstellar flight with star drives capable of allowing their fleets to travel across galaxies. (Machine Man v1 #5)
