Biography
Benjamin Kirby Tennyson was a male human who was born the son of Carl Tennyson and Sandra Tennyson. Originally, Ben was a 10-year-old boy who grew up in Bellwood. He was unpopular to his classmates and was often bullied by two boys named Cash and JT However, his life changed when he went on summer vacation with his grandfather, Max and his cousin, Gwen.
Ben Tennyson discovered the Omnitrix after it crashed in front of him during a camping trip with his cousin Gwen and Grandpa Max. When he first activated it, he transformed into Heatblast, a magma-bodied alien, and unintentionally set part of the forest on fire. Panicking at first, Ben quickly learned to control Heatblast’s powers, absorbing and redirecting flames. He then used his new form to fight off alien drones sent by Vilgax, adapting to combat instinctively despite his inexperience.
Ben battled Dr. Animo, who reanimated a mammoth skeleton to terrorize the National Mall. Ben switched between multiple aliens during the fight: using Four Arms to wrestle the mammoth directly and then transforming into Wildmutt to track Animo by scent. He ultimately shifted into Upgrade, merging with a construction crane to restrain the mutant mammoth and disable Animo’s technology. This episode demonstrated Ben’s quick-thinking adaptability, as he cycled through alien forms strategically to meet changing threats.
Ben encountered a giant sea creature threatening a lake and the surrounding community. He initially tried Ripjaws, diving underwater to face the beast directly, but when he was overpowered, he shifted into XLR8 to quickly maneuver around the docks, rescuing civilians from the collapsing harbor. Later, he returned to Heatblast, igniting controlled blasts to force the Krakken away from boats. Ben’s actions showed a balance between direct combat and saving innocents, proving his growing skill in multitasking with his alien powers.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Ben Tennyson was a male human who had shaggy brown hair, green eyes, pale skin, and tended to be quite skinny for his age. He wore a white T-shirt with a black stripe down the center, green cargo pants, and black-and-white sneakers. The Omnitrix itself, a bulky wrist-mounted alien device, stood out as the defining feature of his look, glowing green when activated. Over time, as he aged into Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, his appearance matured into a taller, more muscular frame with darker clothing, though the Omnitrix (and later the Ultimatrix) always remained central to his design.
Ben Tennyson was brash, cocky, and prone to overconfidence in his earliest adventures, often rushing headfirst into situations without thinking. Despite this, he was quick-witted and showed resourcefulness under pressure, frequently making up strategies on the fly in battle. His love for video games, pranks, and junk food highlighted his childish side, but his strong sense of justice and empathy for others pushed him to fight for what was right. Over time, Ben matured into a more responsible and disciplined hero, though he always retained his trademark humor and impulsive streak.
He was the son of Carl Tennyson and Sandra Tennyson.

Tennyson came to be the wielder of the Omnitrix that was capable of modifying his genetic code allowing him to take the form of the various alien creatures encoded within it. This allowed him to transform into a vast library of alien species, each with unique physical and elemental abilities. The Omnitrix granted him a timed transformation, forcing him to think strategically about which alien to use. While Ben himself remained human with no innate powers, the Omnitrix made him one of the most versatile heroes in his universe, with potential access to countless alien abilities.

- Ghostfreak : a Ectonurite from Anur Phaetos with a striped ghost tail, a single eye on a skull that's upside down, and sharp claws.
- Grey Matter : a 5 inches tall Galvan alien with gray skin whose intellect and calculative skills.

- Humungousaur : a 12 feet humanoid Vaxasaurian from the Terradino planet.
- Ripjaws : a Piscciss Volann from Piscciss, the artificial water planet.

- Stinkfly : a Lepidopterran from the Lepidopterra planet that has features of different insects and can fly with great speed and mobility.

- Water Hazard : a Orishan from the Andromeda Galaxy.
- Waybig : a To'kustar who stood at 100 feet tall.
- Wildmutt : a Vulpimancer with animalistic strength and speed.
- Wildvine : a Florauna from the planet, Flors Verdance.
- XLR8 : a Kineceleran from the Kinet planet.
He later attended the Plumbers Academy where he received basic Plumber training and succeeded with a 95 out of a 100.
