Biography

Billy Kane (Japanese: ビリー・カーン, Hepburn: Birī Kān) was a male human born December 25th, 1966 where he had a younger sister named Lily Kane. When he was a teenager, both he and his sister came to be orphans in London where life for the pair was hard as Billy was forced to steal food to feed Lily. During this time, he was spotted by Geese Howard who was on a business trip in Europe and came to see a bit of himself in the two orphans. This resulted in him taking the pair in after he saw Billy's skill with his bo. Billy became a master in Bojutsu (fighting with a staff), serving Geese as his most trusted henchman. Geese hosted the King of Fighters tournament every year, deciding to enter Billy in the competition in order to keep anyone from winning the tournament, remaining the undefeated champion for years. Billy was defeated in the tournament by Terry Bogard, who wanted to take on Geese.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Due to being Howard's right hand, he came to be referred to by the official nickname of The Emperor's Right-Hand Man (帝王 の 片腕, Koutei no Katoude).

As a career criminal, he came to be motivated more by a desire to make easy money and his respect for Geese Howard rather than any actual malice.

While Billy cannot be considered a 'good guy', he was not an 'evil' man; his criminal career is motivated more by a desire to make easy money and his respect for Geese Howard than actual malice.

Billy is violently anti-smoking and hates cigarettes and will assault anyone who blows cigarette smoke in his face.

He had a younger sister named Lily Kane who he was deeply protective of and cared for her.

His softer side was often shown when he's with his sister Lilly or friends Eiji Kisaragi and Blue Mary; even his hatred for Terry Bogard has softened to be much more of a rivalry.

Powers and abilities

He came to be skilled in the art of Bōjutsu and in using his bo staff in battle.

Kane was stronger than he looked, capable of carrying very heavy weapons like his three-part staff. Billy's polestaff is actually composed of three sections of hard tubing held together by short lengths of chain. When Billy attacks normally the staff remains whole, which would mean that the tension of said springs is quite tight to be able to split them in certain moves and doing so would require a great deal of strength and skill.

Billy can set his staff on fire to cause strong fire damage. He can spin his staff to create a powerful ring of fire and throw the ring within a small range. The staff cannot control other fires it did not create and is not immune to other types of fire.
