Notes
- Black Vulcan was created by Hanna-Barbera and an original creation of the Super Friends animated series.
- As noted on Wizard Universe.com, the characters creation came as a result of a dispute over paying the royalty fees for using Black Lightning in the "Challenge of the Super Friends" cartoon series. Instead of compensating Tony Isabella, Hanna-Barbera decided to create Black Vulcan with a similar appearance and powers, "When the first episode aired, I was more than a bit surprised to see Black Vulcan instead of Black Lightning."

- In Justice League Unlimited, a character named Juice was based on Black Vulcan who appeared in the setting of the DC Animated Universe. This version was a member of the Ultimen who was a genetically engineered superpowered being developed by Project Cadmus.
- In Young Justice, Black Vulcan did not appear in the animated television series but a reference was made to the character. In season 2, a group of runaway children were all captured by the Reach for experimentation which activated their Metahuman abilities.
