Blackheart then decided to intervene in order to prey on the doubt of the young heroes and take control of them. He started with Riri Williams and through her came to take control of the rest of the heroes. This was until they rallied under Morales who came to realise the demon preyed on their doubts and Ironheart herself turned against Blackheart. However, he was stopped by Blaze who intended to lock him up again but his allies convinced him to relinquish the throne of Hell to Mephisto. They reasoned that only Mephisto would be able to thwart Lilith and her plans to take over Hell with Blaze allowing the Lord of Lies to leave alongside his son.
