Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
He was extradited to Africa on some old warrants with Bork constantly managing to escape only to be caught each time. Eventually, the authorities decided to give up and allowed him to be sent back to the United States to be sent to prison there. Thus, he was taken to the Van Kull Maximum Security Correctional Facility that was located south of Metropolis where the magic that empowered him re-manifested and started to mutate his body. Bork found himself to had changed where he became bigger and stronger in the course of the eight years he was imprisoned there. With his superpowered physique, he attempted an escape where he successfully left the prison only to be confronted by Batman and the Flash. (Power Company: Bork v1 #1)
After his parole, Bork attempted to find gainful employment, but was hampered by the disadvantages of his criminal record and monstrous appearance. He was later approached by Josiah Power with a job offer to join a new corporate heroes-for-hire organization called the Power Company. Bork accepted Josiah's offer and joined the team as an associate, later becoming roommates with co-worker Sapphire. (The Power Company v1 #1)
At the Power Company headquarters in San Francisco, thugs armed with high-powered rifles hold people hostage but are attacked by Witchfire, Bork and Striker Z of the Company. Bork takes out a number of the attackers but Striker Z and Witchfire end up pulling on two ends of a baby hostage, each claiming it. Suddenly the training scenario ends as Josiah enters and orders them into the conference room. Josiah introduces Skyrocket to Witchfire, Bork and Striker Z and they each tell her a little about themselves. (The Power Company v1 #1)
While some of the Power Company destroyed a series of stone dragon constructs created by Dragoneer, Bork takes on the dragon Fireheart one-on-one. As the Dragoneer returns to his invocation at the portal, Skyrocket, peripherally aware that news choppers are hovering, orders Witchfire to sneak around behind Dragoneer and disrupt his invocation. Witchfire objects, wanting to do a grandstand run directly at him, but Manhunter steps in and yells at her to follow orders or else. Striker Z provides the ever-complaining Witcher with a diversion, in which he takes some serious hits, to allow her to attack from the rear, but Dragoneer adjusted and retaliated. Skyrocket begins to give orders to the team but is attacked from behind by one of the dragon constructs. As Manhunter goes down and Bork is blasted by Dragoneer, the team goes down to defeat.
