Boss (Superman Fleischer)

The Boss was a criminal mastermind who attempted to frame Superman for a string of robberies - robberies actually committed by his henchman Silburne. When the real Superman caught Silburne and forced him to take him to the Boss' mansion outside of town, the Boss momentarily inconvenienced the Man of Steel by dropping him through a trapdoor and into a cavern beneath the house.

He and Silburne then fled in the Boss' convertible, almost having a head-on collision with another car carrying Lois Lane and several police officers (who were on their way to the mansion to arrest him); Superman arrived in the nick of time and stopped both vehicles from smashing into one another, then grabbed both the Boss and Silburne and turned them over to the police.

The Boss' real name was never revealed; one of his more interesting traits however was the fact that he was very fond of golf, and often threatened his underlings with beatings from a golf club if he suspected them of disloyalty.
