Biography

Bran Mak Morn

His Picts originated on a group of islands in the Western Ocean at the time Valusia, the kingdom of the Atlantean Kull, existed. The Picts and the barbaric Atlanteans had some kind of ancient blood feud. King Kull, however, formed a strong political link between the Pictish Isles and his kingdom of Valusia. When Atlantis, Lemuria, and Valusia sank into the sea thousands of years after Kull's time, the Picts survived and were flung into a period of cultural decline. They forgot the art of metalworking and returned to their technique of flintknapping.

More men die until the Norseman is alone and facing a horde of Picts. His valiant battle, despite the numbers, ends when he is taken prisoner and nursed back to health. While a prisoner of Picts he witnesses Bran Mak Morn in a magic duel with an ancient wizard, which Bran wins by steady eye alone. The wizard begins to chant and tell of the history of the Humankind.

Following Bran Mak Morn’s death he is deified and worshipped as the “Dark Man” or “Dark One” by the Caledonians of Pictish descent. There seems to be a cult centre on “the Isle of Altar, near the Scottish mainland”.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Although Bran Mak Morn has dark eyes, he does not resemble the Caledonian Picts and referred to himself as a Mediterranean.

Bran Mak Morn was the leader of a dying and degenerate people, a poor reflection of what they once were and is deeply aware of their inevitable path to extinction.

He was a direct descendant of Brule the Spear Slayer, companion of the Atlantean King Kull.

Bran ias repelled by Atla's reptile side, and she is in no way fond of him — and she makes that very clear. Nevertheless, her price for helping him is "to have one night of love with a King" — something that the normal women she envies will never have. He is willing to pay that price, as Atla is his only way of contacting the Worms who can fulfill his revenge on the Roman commander.

Powers and abilities

He was the last king of the Cruithni Picts where he lived during Roman times in a time when Rome had invaded but not entirely subdued the southern British Isles.
