Brotherhood (RoboCop)

The Brotherhood are a group that features in an episode of RoboCop the Animated Series.

History

Based in the city of Detroit, the Brotherhood were an anti-machine group that despised the automated robots and sought to destroy them as well as demonize them in the public eyes. To that end, they made use of advanced technology and secretly caused droids to go on a rampage after which they made televised broadcasts that urged the public to destroy all machines. They believed that the widespread use of robotics had taken away the jobs of Human beings and leaving them unemployed which was one of the many ways they spread their message of hate against machines. Whilst they hated the use of advanced electronics, they were perfectly willing to make use of such technology to combat machines.

Overview

Members of the Brotherhood wore a robe with a mask that covered their face which prevented their identities from being known to others. This grey clothes had a colored pattern on the front which indicated whether the rank of the member. The individual that wore red was the leader of the group whilst the others wore a blue color on the front of their robes. They typically referred to one another as flesh brothers.
