Television

Bruno Mannheim in Superman: The Animated Series.
  • In Superman: The Animated Series, Bruno Mannheim was an antagonist in a number of episodes in the DC Animated Universe series where he was voiced by actor Bruce Weitz. He was shown as being a crime boss that headed Intergang though publically he operated in a manner that hid his criminal links. Mannheim was responsible for purchasing a failing toy factory owned by Winslow Schott, Senior but this was actually a front for criminal operations. The police later raided the site but found no link to Mannheim which led to Winslow Schott's arrest and imprisonment. Schott died in prison but his son Winslow Schott, Junior vowed revenge and became the Toyman who tried to kill Mannheim. Years later, Mannheim founded a park in Metropolis. This park, aptly named "Mannheim Park" was intended to give Metropolis' children a safe, clean place to play. In actuality, it was a pseudophilanthropic ploy to clean up Mannheim's image. However, during a rehearsal of the opening ceremonies, a squadron of toy planes armed with machine guns started shooting at him. Mannheim suddenly found himself being confronted by Toyman, who turned out to be Schott's son. Mannheim was kidnapped and taken off to Toyman's lair where he was nearly executed. However, Lois Lane managed to prevent the execution and after Toyman tried to kill her, Superman arrived. After Superman destroyed most of Toyman's toys, he dropped several bombs into the lair, but Superman rescued both Mannheim and Lois. Mannheim snarkily commented that "this is one funeral I'll skip". A policeman investigating the blast doubted if there would even be a funeral, as Toyman's broken mask was found, but no sign of a dead or wounded body. Even so, Mannheim had not heard from Toyman since then.
  • In Smallville, Bruno Mannheim appeared in the setting of the live-action television series in the episode "Stiletto" where he was portrayed by actor Dominic Zamprogna. He made counterfeit money and mugged Chloe Sullivan along with AJ, stealing Chloe's bag and getting a whack from Lois Lane before leaving in his car. Bruno returned to the Ace of Clubs and got a drink from new bartender Jimmy Olsen, who asked to get an advance on his pay from Milano. Ricky then came to get Bruno because Milano wanted to see him, but when Milano began to mock Bruno for the mugging, Bruno turned on him, shooting him dead with a silenced gun in the backroom of the Ace of Clubs when Milano said that they were going legit. He then took over Milano's business and announced that they were first going to get rid of the heroes, starting with Stiletto. When Jimmy came back into work late holding his camera, Bruno took it off him and recognized the photos of Chloe and Lois as Stiletto, and beat Jimmy for information before knocking him out. He was then in the backroom seeing through the counterfeit money when Clark Kent super-sped in. Kryptonite was being used on the counterfeit money, however, and weakened Clark enough that Bruno could punch him to the floor and beat him. Lois, as Stiletto, jumped down and knocked Clark away in time. As Bruno went to shoot her, Clark jumped in front of Lois, blocking her from danger. Jimmy came in and was able to take Bruno down. Later, he was incarcerated at the Stryker's Island Penitentiary. Two years later, Gordon Godfrey gave him a book that changed Brunos life - the Crime Bible. Later, Bruno was 'visited' by Batman because he knew about Brunos connection to the Intergang and tried to find out Joe Chill whereabouts.
  • In Young Justice, Bruno Mannheim made an appearance as an antagonist where he first appeared in the episode "Fun and Games" and was voiced by actor Kevin Michael Richardson. He was shown as being a notorious gangster and leader of Intergang though there was no official link to lead an arrest. It was revealed that he had provided finance to Winslow Schott to keep his toy company from closing but used it for illegal operations. Once discovered, Schott was arrested whilst no proof meant that Mannehim remained free. This became the source of the enmity from Toyman who wanted to avenge the injustice made to his father but Mannheim was saved by Superman. Bruno Mannheim later appeared "Disordered" where he was frustrated at how his criminal operations were stopped by Superman when he as approached by Kanto who offered him advanced weapons for Intergang.
  • In Superman & Lois, Bruno Mannheim appeared in the setting of the live-action television series where he was portrayed by actor Chad L. Coleman
