He was known to have had a daughter who went by the name of Jessica Carradine. (Sensational Spider-Man v1 #3) The mother of his child died shortly after the baby was born and their daughter ended up growing up in foster care homes. (Sensational Spider-Man v1 #1)

- The Burglar was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko where he made his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy v1 #15 (August, 1962).

- In The Spectacular Spider-Man, the Burglar appeared in the animated television series where initially his grunts were voiced by actor Jim Cummings and was later voiced by actor James Remar. This version was merged with the backstory of Walter Hardy making him the Burglar responsible for Ben Parker's death.
Films
- In Spider-Man, the Carjacker appeared as a secondary antagonist in the live-action film where he was portrayed by actor Michael Papajohn.
Video games
- In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the Cash Register Thief appeared in the setting of the video game tie-in to the live-action film where he was voiced by actor Chris Edgerly. Herman Schultz identified him as Dennis Carradine who was a low-level thug that had been selling advanced weaponry to gangs.
