History
Calvin was an extraterrestrial organism that was found to be native to the planet Mars. They were a highly aggressive and adaptable race of life forms that sought to ensure their own survival with them being hostile to other species. It was speculated that organisms such as Calvin had existed on Mars for thousands of years until the atmosphere began to change. A lack of oxygen made living on the world impossible and these creatures entered into a state of hibernation.
Overview
In appearance, Calvin was an organism of variable size and form depending on the amount of nourishment it obtained. It was an grey skinned organism that was smaller than a finger with it being able to extend its mass to envelope objects. As it developed, it grew numerous tentacles and developed more pronounced features. It was noted to be quite strong being able to wrap itself around objects or prey much larger than itself and exert a great deal of force. Upon enveloping another organism, it seemingly devoured them causing their prey to be reduced to its base components. From the consumption, Calvin grew even larger as it grew nourishment to grow in size. Against larger prey, it sought out an orifice so that it entered into the body to ravage its target. Upon consuming the prey it left the body and grew in mass to be much larger. Calvin also sought to wrap itself around its preys limbs to begin feeding on flesh and grew in the process becoming more larger with more defined features. In its more developed state, it was a nearly human sized organism that had numerous tentacles and flaps of skin hanging by the side. It was shown to be adept in moving in a zero-gravity environment allowing it to operate easily in such conditions.
Calvin was able to survive in harsh conditions normally inhospitable to living organisms. It was able to operate in the hard vacuum of space indefinitely without the need for any support. Despite that, it was unable to survive in conditions that deprived it of life support for lengthy periods with it entering into a hibernation state.
Despite its appearance, the organism was shown to be highly intelligent with it able to use objects to achieve goals. Whilst this was the case, it was driven by the base instinct to survive with it seeking out to eliminate competition in order to survive. It did not hate but simply did what it needed to do in order to survive. These Martian organisms were described as being highly dangerous that should not be underestimated and were adaptable to their environments. It was recommended that any such creature discovered was to be eliminated as they were a danger to other life forms.
