Biography
Cayde-6 was a male member of the Exo race who like many of his kind did not truly know their past. Fractured accounts indicated that Cayde had a wife and son whom he nicknamed Ace where he came to be a soldier. He eventually started gambling his life away leading to a large debt being placed on him that he could not pay. He was then approached by Clovis Bray who claimed he could remove all the owed debt in exchange for doing a job for him. The details of the deal were not known but he later journeyed to Europa where he was converted into one of the Exo. Sometime afterwards, he served as a security officer at the Ishtar Collective where he was assigned the job of looking after Dr. Maya Sundaresh. Cayde was attracted to her and wanted to get to know her more but she barely noticed him. Cayde next recalled being restrained by a shadowy creature on a destroyed world and said he recalled another memory but one that was not his own. During the Collapse, human civilisation was nearly destroyed as a result of the Darkness with Cayde being inactive until one of the Traveler's Ghosts revived him. Upon being awakened, Cayde-6 still had his journal containing his son Ace's name and he began to write to him despite not remembering that his child was long dead.
Alongside the Guardian, Cayde travelled to the Reef during a time of civil unrest where a breakout came in the Prison of Elders. The two Guardians went to assist Petra Venj in quelling the riot where they separated to deal with the problem affecting the Reef. They then looked to reactivate the security systems and put down the prisoners where whilst separated Cayde-6 was informed by Petra tat the Scorn Baron's were trying to escape. Looking to stop them, Cayde-6 made his own way to confront them first where he knocked out the suspension for one of the control stations and rode the falling section down to the escape route. Looking to confront the fleeing enemies, he came to find himself ambushed by the eight Scorn Barons. This saw him overwhelmed by the enemy despite putting up a fight where at the height of the fighting his Ghost was destroyed by Pirrha, the Rifleman. Cayde-6 came to sense that this was to be his final battle and tried to aim his gun at Reksis Vahn, the Hangman. However, he was promptly knocked through a wall by the Baron's censer which was where he encountered Uldren Sov. It was then he learnt that Sov had been the benefactor of the Scorn where he allied with them. Uldren then proceeded to shoot Cayde-6 with his own gun leaving him fatally injured just in time to be found by the Young Wolf. The Guardian then relayed hs final words to th Vanguard whereupon they set out to get revenge for the death of Cayde-6.
Overview
Personality and attributes
One of his closest companions was his Ghost Sundance who was said to be like him. The female Ghost was said to be flashy, cocky and incredibly competent.
Eris claimed that Cayde was arrogant and not as funny as he believed to be.
Banshee-44 mentioned Cayde was a true hunter and had said that he would leave all his personal belonging to whoever took him down.
He later commented that the Vanguard was the best bet he had ever lost.
Powers and abilities
He was a member of the race of Exo's that were humanoid sentient machines that had the transplanted mind of a human within them from long ago.
As a Guardian, he possessed his own Ghost named Sundance who assisted him in the field. She was able to resurrect him from death so long as she was operational.
He wielded a special exotic hand cannon called the Ace of Spades.
Upon joining the Last City, he came to serve in the Vanguard and represented the Hunters among the Guardians.
